The Suprises that the Last Day in June Brings....

Aaaahhhhh, Summer has officially started, and with it comes the lovely month of July.

Goodbye June.

See ya next year.

So much excitement occurring on this last day of June.....

To begin, Betty's official handyman, Jack Dempsey Boyd, spruced up our dirty and sun bleached storefront with some caulk and paint. The shade that our sale rack provided him kept him cool and shaded on this hot day, though his presence, crouching down behind the clothing frightened a few unsuspecting shoppers.

In addition, a long-awaited box of jewelry arrived today from Libby, a Betty's alumni and much missed friend who now lives in Portland and studies SilverSmithing. Her earrings and bangles are fabulous and now exclusively at Betty's Divine! I know the picture is hard to see, but that is a copper lotus hanging from Lael's lobes and a smattering of assorted metal bangles on her wrist. Her prices are great and her pieces are worthy of any Goddess!

Another new local jewelry designer is now gracing the racks of Betty's, and quite different in aesthetic from the silver pictured above.

Again, it's hard to see, but that is in fact a small zombie hand next to a key dangling from P-Dog's neck, competing with the hair exploding forth from his Vee Neck--Megan makes her one-of-a-kind necklaces from old Barbie body parts.

Check out the bloody bandaged leg swooping across Niki's delicate neckline! Imagine if she wore that one to work at The Children's Museum...yikes! A little edgy, perhaps.

Ahh, hope July brings as much excitement as June has!
